Warren back to square one

During an interview last week, Willie Warren said he would get a feel for what schools were seriously interested in his services by the number of head coaches that showed up for an opening round game of the Kingwood Classic, which started at 9:10 on Saturday morning. Since that time, Warren, the No. 13 ranked player in the class of 2008, has decided to take a step back from the recruiting process.

In all, the 6-foot-4, 195-pound shooting guard from North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas, scored just six-points and was unable to get into a rhythm on the offensive end of the court.

Warren, who has scholarship offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M and UCLA, has decided to take step back from the recruiting process.
