Michigan teammates serious about Purdue interest
When the NIKE Camp tour comes to West Lafayette in two weeks, some of the top prospects in the Midwest will be congregating on Purdue's athletic fields.
Two of those players coming just received Boilermaker offers from defensive coordinator Brock Spack.
Running back Jonas Gray and linebacker Kenny Demens of Detroit Country Day High School are expected to be four-star prospects when Rivals.com's rankings come out this summer. Purdue started getting interested last spring while recruiting class of 2007 athlete Chris Rucker from the school. On Thursday, it made its interest in the class of '08 duo official.
According to the 5-foot-11, 215-pound Gray, his interest in Purdue is very serious. An astute college football fan, he has looked at the depth chart for coming years in West Lafayette and likes what he sees in relation to his opportunity to play.
