Cards land first commitment

New Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe and his assistants are roaming the United States looking for the best football recruits in the country. Kragthorpe and the Cards just landed their first commitment for the class of 2008. CardinalSports.com has the scoop.

After receiving a tip from Tony Greco from Pittsburgh's Pantherlair late Friday night, CardinalSports.com's Howie Lindsey sent a text message to quarterback Tino Sunseri. The rumor was that Sunseri had committed to Louisville.

Sunseri, the son of Carolina Panthers assistant coach Sal Sunseri, is a highly-skilled and gifted quarterback. Standing 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, the 2008 recruit had early offers from Florida State, Southern Miss, South Florida, Colorado, Buffalo and Louisville.
