Hunter decision days away

Two weeks ago, Buford (Ga.) High defensive tackle Omar Hunter (6-1, 295 pounds) was considering making a September decision. How things have changed. The plan now is to take two more unofficial visits before wrapping up his recruitment.

Hunter will visit Notre Dame Wednesday for an all-day event before traveling to Ann Arbor Thursday, after which he believes he'll be ready to make a decision.

Lloyd Carr and Charlie Weis were two of the several head coaches that made it to Buford this spring, a list that also includes Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville, Florida head coach Urban Meyer and Ohio State's Jim Tressel, among others. Though Hunter fell short of cracking the recent top 100, his current list of favorites (all having offered) - Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, Miami and USC - does enough to indicate how coveted he really is.
