Bruin bits and pieces

The Bruin football team was out yesterday (Thursday June 7th) throwing the football and going through seven-on-seven drills. It is no surprise that Ben Olson and Patrick Cowan are supplying leadership out there. After all it comes with the position.

What was somewhat surprising is the emerging leadership qualities of the normally quiet senior wide receiver Marcus Everett. He seems to be buying into new wide receiver coach Eric Scott's request that the seniors pull the cart.

If Everett stays healthy he could have a special season. He was open quite a bit last season but the ball wasn't delivered. His catches against USC were huge in that victory.

Also showing good leadership quality was running back Chris Markey and on the defensive side of the ball safety Chris Horton.

This is the last go around as Bruins for both Markey and Horton. Both players and the rest of the seniors want to end their UCLA careers on a special note…
