Slaughter going on visits
With Texas Tech taking a relatively small class (somewhere in between fifteen and twenty prospects) in 2008, each particular need in the class is becoming slightly magnified. Take linebacker for example, where Tech will likely take at least two commits. Having already had several targets crossed off the list, grabbing one of their remaining targets is becoming more important by the day.
One of these targets is Fort Bend Elkins product Blake Slaughter.
Slaughter, who excels in the classroom (4.3 GPA with honors credits) as well as on the gridiron (124 tackles as a junior), is drawing attention from all over the country and holds official offers from schools such as Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Northwestern, and others.
