Patriots and Vargas return home

American Heritage coach Danny Herz has had his basketball team on a trip that started when then flew to Pittsburgh and after playing at Pitt's summer camp stopped at Canton, Cleveland, Columbus, Louisville and Indiana. A trip that lasted over 10 days.

Last night coach Herz told the Pantherlair, "We just landed about ten minutes ago. It was a great trip for our players. They got to see a lot of different colleges and played a lot of basketball. There were approximately 60 teams playing in Indiana. We made the final four before losing in the semi-finals. It was not so much about winning or losing but about our kids bonding. We stayed in nice hotels and ate good food. We had kids put pictures on the internet each night so their families could follow us on the trip. When we planned a long trip like this I don't think we realized how much fun it would be for the players and the coaches. They got to see Pitt, Duquesne, Case Western, Bellarmine, Ohio State, Louisville and Indiana so it was a great experience. "
