Gray will visit Big Red

Running back Jonas Gray from Country Day High School in Detroit has to one of the more exciting backs from the Midwest this year. Gray might not be the tallest at 5-foot-10, but the 213-pounder has the scholarship offers to prove some of the top Division-I programs feel he is one of the very best. Gray just returned from completing a summer camp visit to one of his favorites - Michigan State. However, now it will be Nebraska's turn to show him what they might offer him for the future.

HuskersIllustrated.com had the opportunity to not only talk to Jonas, but his mother was gracious enough to give us some of her insight in her son's recruiting and what she is feeling right now.

Jerri Gray's views and thoughts:

"We will be there on the 18th (of July)," Jonas Gray's mother, Jerri Gray, said. "I'm looking forward to seeing what they have to offer him."

Most mothers would prefer that their sons play close to home and Jerri Gray is not any different than the average, but she is practical in her view.

Nebraska is far from being a sure spot for him. He has multiple offers from some of the more prestigious schools in the nation, including and not limited to the following: Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida, Louisville, Iowa, and Illinois.
