Hale could go his own way

It is tough for some of the nation's top players to stay out of the spotlight. For Monroeville (Pa.) linebacker prospect Shayne Hale talking to the media is far from one of his favorite things but he knows it goes along with the territory in being a 5-star rated recruit.

The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder is a member of the Rivals100 and is the nation's top ranked inside linebacker according to Rivals.com. Hale has tried to keep out of the media crosshairs and dedicate himself to working out and getting ready for his next season.

Questions about Hale's recruitment came up when it was reported that Hale wanted to be part of a package deal with his cousin Cameron Saddler. Of Hale's top four schools (Ohio State, Michigan, Virginia and West Virginia) three of the schools had offered both players with the Buckeyes being the only player that hasn't extended an offer to Saddler.
