Kevin Haslam: In the mix at guard

One of the most heated battles of this summer will be for the right guard position. With Cam Stephenson now vying for a spot on the Pittsburgh Steeler roster, head coach Greg Schiano must find his replacement. Mahwah's Kevin Haslam will be one of the Scarlet Knights trying to fill the huge vacancy at right guard.

"I feel very confident that I can handle the job," said the 6-foot-7 Haslam. "Otherwise they wouldn't be looking at me for it. They wouldn't be looking at me if I didn't have the right confidence and mindset."

Haslam will face some stiff competition in the form of freshman Anthony Davis and junior Mike Gilmartin.

"I'm not going to say I'm overconfident because that would be foolish. I'm coming in with a focused head competing against Gilmartin and Anthony. We'll see who comes out better," said Haslam.

In spite of the competition, Haslam vowed that the offensive line remains a close knit group.
