Adams ready to set Michigan official

Of Michigan's 13 commitments in the class of 2008, ten are players who are expected to play on the offensive side of the football. Defensively, Michigan has several positions of need to fill and one is safety. A top target at safety is Mathews (N.C.) Butler's Spencer Adams, a top 10 prospect at that position.

The 6-2, 180-pound Adams is ranked as the No. 152 player in the country by Rivals.com and the No. 4 prospect from the state of North Carolina. Back in July, he told TheWolverine.com he had a list of seven favorites that included Clemson, NC State, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Florida, Miami and North Carolina. He's already set a Sept. 14 official visit to Florida and is about to plan one more.
