Offense beginning to shine

The last two practices have been the sharpest the offense has looked in a long time. The offensive line was flying off the ball and making blocks making for a very competitive practice. All in all it was a very good practice that gave Bruin fans in attendance reason for optimism.

UCLA coach Karl Dorrell was extremely gregarious and upbeat after practice. A good couple of days of offense can do that to a coach.

Dorrell: "It was a good practice this morning. We back to doing some short yardage and goal line. The offense had the upper hand on the goal line today and had two quick scores and they did some nice things on short yardage, too, and then we did some third-down prep and that was kind of split 50-50.

"All those things are great signs of an offense that is progressing and getting better.
