Rob Gronkowski significant to 2007 season

Put aside, for a moment, the impact of a Mike Thomas, Willie Tuitama or Chris Jennings on Arizona's retooled offense.

History demonstrates the importance - perhaps necessity - of a productive tight end.

It is therefore instrumental to the Wildcats' point-scoring fortunes that a true freshman from Pennsylvania grow up in a hurry. Like, right now.

Rob Gronkowski is the UA's next big thing.

Big in both in breadth and significance.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pound prep All-American could be the Cats' wild card to the upper division of the Pac-10. After all, SOMEBODY has to take the heat off Tui, keep secondaries from doubling 'Money Mike' and provide a legitimate extra blocker for Jennings.
