Practice heats up

It was a scorcher at Pothro Field on Tuesday. As a result, practice was ragged. Coach Riley, however, was impressed with the way his squad battled through the weather.

"I think it was a little bit of an overload for the younger guys today," he said. "But I was pleased with how they fought through the fatigue."

Many of the younger players received the bulk of the snaps today on offense.
Keeping with the trend, receivers Darrell Catchings and James Rodgers looked the most impressive.

Early on in the 11-on-11 drills, Catchings hit the ground to pull in a pass from Ryan Gunderson that was behind him, despite the efforts of two defenders draped all over him.
