2009 TE part of a strong corps of players

One of the things that made Oklahoma's recruiting class of 2006 so special was the bonds formed between in-state players like Sam Bradford, Gerald McCoy, Dominique Franks, and Jermaine Gresham before they ever got started in the recruiting battles of their senior years.

It seems that the class of 2009, while distant from this current date could have a similar relationship. One of the heads of all the familiarity is Bixby tight end Greg Brown. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound pass-catcher from South Tulsa has developed many friends over the year around the area including some of the state's most prized juniors.

In his own season opener, Bixby played in their annual grudge match to 6A superpower, and neighbor, Jenks. The Spartans fell 27-3 but according to Brown it wasn't a bad game so much as a dominating performance for one of 2008's most talented prospects.
