Perry off to a sensational start

Nick Perry is playing the hand he was dealt and playing it well. When his old high school, Detroit MacKenzie, closed it's doors for the final time this past spring, the 6-4, 225-pound defensive end had to look for a new school. He ended up at Detroit Martin Luther King, joining an already talented group of athletes.

The high school football season in Michigan is already two weeks old and Perry and his new teammates are 2-0 with two shutout wins over Detroit Mumford and Detroit Renaissance. A four-star prospect, Perry has been an instrumental piece in King's defense not yielding a single point thus far in the season.
