Jordan Rising

Every collegiate athlete's goal - in one way or another - is to make it "big" on the next level. Having to share the spotlight with your teammates though is not always the easiest thing to do. For senior wide receiver Robert Jordan, sharing the spotlight is exactly what he has been doing for the past four seasons. And you know what? He's perfectly fine with that.

Midway through the second quarter Saturday evening, with Cal locked up in a 21-21 tie against Tennessee, Jordan quickly trots out onto the field to join his teammates in the huddle for a crucial third down deep near the Volunteers goal line.

Jordan makes sure his gloves are strapped on tight, his face mask is cleared from his line of sight, and his cleats are nice and firm so that he could get a good grip on the Memorial Stadium turf.
