Jeffers, Kanuch making most of second season
STORRS, Conn. - Just after finishing up his time speaking to reporters Tuesday afternoon, wide receiver Brad Kanuch walked over to Terence Jeffers and began flexing, hoping his teammate would crack a smile.
Unfazed, Jeffers continued talking until Kanuch playfully reached in and threw a jab at his counterpart. Jeffers chuckled, slapped him away and Kanuch raced out the door.
For the two young receivers, the 2007 season has been a great chance for them to not only hone their craft, but to shine early and often. That total may increase Saturday against Temple, a team that allowed nearly 209 passing yards per game last season and a total of 22 passing touchdowns.
"We've definitely got everything moving along as far as our offense," Jeffers said. "As far as our running game, we've got a solid running game of course with Donald Brown and a receiving corps that you can't focus in on any one of us."
