Richt tight lipped
Georgia coach Mark Richt said Sunday he knew "either Tuesday or Wednesday" that right tackle Chester Adams would be replaced in the starting lineup by freshman Clint Boling, but maintained that the senior was not under suspension for Saturday's game against Western Carolina. "When you're suspended, you don't play," Richt said.
Adams saw extensive action in the Bulldogs' 45-16 win over the Catamounts.
Richt said following Saturday's game that the reason Adams did not start because he was in (offensive line coach Stacy) Searels' doghouse. He declined to give the specific reason for Adams' punishment.
Richt was first asked about a possible suspension for Adams late last week, saying that was not the case.
Richt said Adams should be back in the starting lineup for Saturday's game at Alabama.
"Right now, I would say yes," Richt said. "Unless something changes between now and then."
