Junior QB sporting Crimson and Cream

While the weekend following the Miami game didn't see nearly as many big name recruits as the Sooners hosted during the prior week, one big name recruit that was in attendance was Friendswood, Texas quarterback Jacob Karam. The 6-foot-2, 189-pound dual-threat signal caller had a big game against Dayton on Friday night and got up early to fly up to Oklahoma City.

While the visit may have seemed like an official visit, it was thanks to some family in the Oklahoma capitol that he was able to get a ride from Oklahoma City to Norman.

"I played a game against Dayton, it's far away from me. My plane was supposed to leave Houston at 10:30 but there was a delay of an hour so I got in a little late but went straight to the game," Karam explained. "Afterwards I got to go to the locker room, talk to the coaches, and got a feeling for what the game was like. I heard coach Bob Stoops give them a pep talk but I got to see what they were doing afterwards.

"Afterwards I went back to Oklahoma City and stayed with my uncle who lives in Oklahoma City."
