Five-star JUCO DE ready to get to the Plains

Wesson (Miss.) Copiah-Lincoln's Raven Gray was one of the top defensive ends in the country in 2006 out of Enterprise (Ala.) High.

Gray signed with Auburn, but failed to qualify and had to go to junior college.

Two years later, Gray, now 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, is a JUCO All-American, a five-star recruit, and the nation's premier JUCO defensive end according to

Saturday, Gray was on the Plains for an unofficial visit as the Tigers opened up SEC play against Mississippi State.

"I got there Friday night and stayed at my cousin's house. I hung out with him and some of the players," said Gray. "Saturday, I went to Tiger Walk. I love that. I spoke to Gabe McKenzie a few times. I also talked to the coaches a good bit.

"I talked to coach Tommy Tuberville. He was asking how I was doing in the classroom and how he wanted to get me up there in January."
