ASI Insider Report: Thacker out, Guion in?

It looks like what was Florida State's biggest team strength will take a hit this weekend.



Starting interior defensive linemen Budd Thacker and Andre Fluellen have both been battling injuries and hoped to be able to play against Alabama. After Tuesday's practice, the status of both was still in limbo but after Wednesday's practice it appears as though one player will be cleared while the other will probably miss the game.



"Budd did not practice," head coach Bobby Bowden said. "He was out there and I think he tried to wear a (special) shoe but I'd say he looks doubtful. Fluellen should be ready to go."




Surprisingly, both players were injured in practice. Fluellen hyperextended his elbow the Tuesday before the Colorado game. Although he suited up for the game, after pregame warm-ups it was decided that it would be best to sit him out. A subsequent MRI revealed a partially torn ligament in his elbow.
