After leading early, Beavers can't finish

Talk about a major case of déjà vu for the Oregon State football team on Saturday.

For the second straight game, OSU blew another early first quarter lead before self destructing. Last weekend, the Beavers squandered a 19-0 advantage against Arizona State, before falling 44-32.

Against UCLA on Saturday at Reser Stadium, they did the same with a 14-0 lead and ended up losing 40-14. That's right; the Beavers didn't score again after Yvenson Bernard scored on a 1 yard run with 18 seconds left in the first quarter.

"We need to stop these games at halftime," lamented OSU coach Mike Riley. "The last two weeks, we would have been a lot happier."
