Half & Half? Line wants whole performance

Maybe the problem was too much fundamentals and techniques.

Any time an on-field problem arises around Notre Dame, those two buzzwords turn into ad nauseam talking points, repeated with an enthusiasm usually reserved for tests of the emergency broadcast system. Yet in last week's pass protection performance at Purdue, where the Irish line allowed two sacks in 52 passing attempts, the solution may have been driven more by function than form.
