Matt Slater is truly special

When Matt Slater signed with UCLA five years ago out of Anaheim (Calif.) Servite he came to the Bruins as a speedy wide receiver. Since then he was moved to defensive back, but has really has come into his own on special teams.

When you think how few opportunities that Slater has on special teams compared to all the plays he makes, you would have to agree with UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell when he said that Slater may be the best special teams player in the Pac 10.

BruinBlitz.com was able to talk to Slater after practice to get his take on playing special teams.
