Morelli tries to work his way back into favor

Penn State senior quarterback Anthony Morelli didn't play a perfect game against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday afternoon.

His numbers were less than impressive - 18-for-31 with a touchdown, 233 yards and two interceptions. After back-to-back losses on the road against Michigan and Illinois, the calls from the media and Nittany Lions' fans for head coach Joe Paterno to pull the plug grew louder and louder.

Yet, by game's end, Morelli was the winning quarterback.

The question now is, was it enough to earn back the trust of some disgruntled Lions' fans?

Early on, it looked like it wouldn't be.
