N.C. Players Excited To Face Tar Heels
William Brown's dream growing up in Boonville, N.C. was to play college football for North Carolina.
It appeared that dream would come true in 2003 when UNC offered a scholarship to the first-team all-state lineman and Shrine Bowl player from Starmount High School.
But within days the offer was pulled. Soon thereafter, Brown visited USC and fell in love with Columbia. So he signed with the Gamecocks.
But, years later, Brown still hasn't forgotten about the slight from UNC, acknowledging this week he held a "slight grudge" against the Tar Heels.
