BC ready for the Hokies?

#2 Boston College (7-0) vs. #9 Virginia Tech® (6-1) (ESPN, Thursday 7:30PM EST)

Fast Facts: Virginia Tech is 3-0 in the ACC with wins coming over UNC, Clemson and Duke. In their last game, the Hokies handed Duke a 43-14 drubbing. Sean Glennon was 16 for 21 and threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Glennon took over for freshman Tyrod Taylor who sprained his ankle against the Blue Devils. Taylor is still questionable for Thursday night, the five star standout from Hampton, VA has thrown for 640 yards and rushed for another 248 in his previous 6 games. Taylor adds another layer to the Hokie offense, having the ability to make something out of nothing, but one has to wonder how successful he can be if that ankle is not fully healed.

Boston College is coming off a 27-14 victory in South Bend over Notre Dame. BC combined for 459 yards of total offense and the defense held the Irish to just 27 yards rushing. BC has the best rush defense in the country, allowing just 46 yards per game. Virginia Tech has just the 8th best rush offense in the ACC - the Hokies are averaging a paltry 119.4 yards per game. BC has won 2 of the last 3 meetings, but Virginia Tech still holds a 9-4 all time series lead.
