The good, the bad and the ugly of Saturday

The Commodores picked up a much-needed, 24-13 victory over Miami of Ohio on Saturday, their fifth of the year. VandySports.com takes a look inside the important happenings from Saturday in our weekly installment of "the good, the bad and the ugly."

The good

Bennett gets his record
For weeks now, much talk has centered on when Earl Bennett would break Craig Yeast's all-time SEC receptions record. It didn't seem to be a distraction for the team, but now that Bennett has the record, it removes any doubt that it could be.

Best of all, it was good to see Bennett involved in the offense again. With the Commodores struggling offensively over the last month, they need to get the ball back to their biggest offensive star.

Theo Horrocks
Defensive tackle Theo Horrocks looked as if he knew every play the Miami offense was running in the first quarter. Horrocks spent considerable time in the Redhawk backfield, and while he was credited with just one solo tackle, he disrupted everything in his path.
