GoPowercat Q&A: Justin Roland

Though things have not gone as planned for Kansas State's defense in recent weeks, linebacker Justin Roland and the rest of the team's seniors will be honored prior to Saturday's home finale against Missouri. So in preparation for K-State's upcoming senior day, tracked down Roland after practice for an interview about his time at K-State, life after football and a variety of other topics.

Your time here at Kansas State is limited. What kind of emotions do you think the upcoming senior day will elicit?
It's going to be really important for all of the seniors. All the young guys are really pulling for us. This kind of thing only comes around once or twice in a lifetime. We want to go out on winning note. This is the last time some of us will ever play football.

Is senior day working as motivation for the team to pull out a win?
A lot of people think that the mood would be down inside the organization right now, but it's not. We look at this game as an opportunity to beat another top-10 team. I want to get another big win before I leave. It's actually an upbeat environment right now.
