C&G Top 30 Update

Year in and year out California produces hundreds of division-one college football players.

As the regular season concludes and playoff runs begin, we review the state's true gamebreakers for the class of 2008. The Golden State boasts 12 players among the nation's top 100 recruits this month, with St. Bonaventure running back Darrell Scott retaining the top spot in the rankings.

After rushing for more than 3,000 yards as a junior at Moorpark, Scott has only amassed 1,400 yards and 16 touchdowns as a Seraph in eight games. However, with schools like Santa Margarita, Canyon, Crespi and Oaks Christian on the schedule, Scott is still averaging 178-yards a game on the ground.
