Bruins getting ready for Oregon

The Bruins have two more practices and a Thanksgiving Meal to go before they play Oregon. Crazy as it seems, a Bruin victory will get them bowl eligible and will with a USC victory on Thanksgiving Night over ASU will keep them in the Rose bowl hunt.

Who would have thought that with a 5-5 record, the Bruins would still have a shot at the Rose Bowl. A lot of luck would have to fall UCLA's way for that to happen, but this is a nutty and unpredictable season.

As always UCLA coach Karl Dorrell met with the media after practice.

Dorrell: "Good practice, it's the early portion of the week where the good meat of our game plan was introduced today and I saw a lot of attentiveness of what we are trying to get accomplished and I'm real pleased with what I saw. We have a few more days to get ourselves to be completely ready and I think our men are going to be ready to play a great game on Saturday.

What did you think of Ben Olson?

Dorrell: "He's coming. He did more today than what he's done before even last week so he took some live team reps. He didn't take as many that a guy would be taking if he would be rotating to play with in this week's game, but I want to see what he does and he responds from what he did today. He's not 100 percent and that's really going to be the norm right now. Until he gets himself playing again and I think as soon as he gets over that, he will start to respond faster.

But you would still use Ben on Saturday if needed?
