Four-star is a beast

Four-star defensive tackle Jurrell Casey (6-1, 285, 4.7) from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly is a beast. He definitely gets the baton passed to him as the west coast's best defensive tackle prospect.

While watching Casey earlier in the season it was obvious that he is a load and almost impossible for a high school to block without a lot of help.

Opposing coaches have to scheme and account for Casey on every down. He has been compared to former USC All-American Mike Patterson and UCLA true freshman Brian Price.

On the recruiting trail Casey has offers from USC, Oregon, Arizona, Ole Miss and Nebraska.

Casey is a member of the Rivals250 for the class of 2008. rates Casey as the nation's No. 14 defensive tackle prospect.

He was also selected to the California Top 100 landing as the Golden State's No. 37 prospect at any position.
