Changes could affect Missouri ATH
North County ATH Will Compton has been trying to relax a little since the end of the football season. With coaches out on the road, Compton said that the past few weeks have been filled with visits from several coaches looking to find out how everything was going for him.
Compton said one of the visits he looked forward to most was the one from Missouri coach Dave Steckel. The two enjoyed a lengthy conversation, but didn't spend the whole time just breaking down x's and o's.
Compton remains committed to Nebraska and said he was encouraged by the hire of new coach Bo Pelini. He said that he hadn't talked to any of the new coaches just yet, but added that he would soon get the chance to meet the new coach.
One of the other Nebraska commits that Compton has been talking with has been Josh Williams. The two have become friends throughout the process and have hoped that they may still end up as teammates in college. He said that one thing had surprised him, though.
Compton has watched most of the games for the teams he's interested in, but like everyone, was trying to make sense of a crazy season. He said that he has been impressed with the season he has seen from the teams he has near the top of his list.
Now that Nebraska has a coach, Compton said that he will be able to resolve recruiting sooner. He said that even with a good feeling from Nebraska, he wanted to be doubly sure about his decision.
