Junior DL grabs two big early offers
All recruits await that first offer and junior defensive lineman Abry Jones has pulled in not only one, but two. They are not from a small schools either. This Warner Robins (Ga.) - Northside Warner Robins native picked up an offer from a strong ACC and SEC program.
"Florida and Florida State have offered me," said Jones. "I have a paper from Florida saying they want to offer me a full scholarship. It is pretty exciting to have my first offer and it feels good."
"FSU offered me after we won the championship Friday night. They went up to my coach and told him they were offering me."
A visit to FSU has not taken place yet, but Jones visited the Gators on more than one occasion this past fall and he enjoyed himself at The Swamp.
"I went to the games when they played Florida Atlantic and Florida State. The crowds there are great and it is definitely one of the best places I have been. I have a great time at both games, but the FSU game was the best experience."
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive lineman also visited a couple other SEC schools this year.
"I went over to Auburn for the New Mexico State game and I went up to Georgia to see them play Western Carolina and Auburn."
"The crowd was pretty good at Auburn, they have a lot of tradition and it was a cool game."
