Coleman a difference maker at d-end
With Quentin Groves headed to the NFL and Sen'Derrick Marks likely moving inside to defensive tackle, Auburn has some rebuilding to do at the defensive end position.
Fortunately for d-end coach Terry Price, he can build his position around talented junior Antonio Coleman.
Coleman put together a big sophomore season. After beginning the year as Groves' backup, Coleman stepped into the starting lineup in week six, starting seven games. He tallied 38 total tackles and led AU with 19 tackles-for-loss and 8.5 sacks.
Coleman also returned a fumble 34 yards for a touchdown against Kansas State.
"(Coleman) stepped up and did some good things for us last year," said Price. "He really has improved his game from an overall standpoint. He's always been a very physical player and plays with a high motor."
While Coleman, who is up to about 250 pounds, had a strong season last year, Price is looking for him to step up and produce at an even higher level in 2008.
