Jonesing for Jarvis

It has been a whirlwind new year for Carver-Columbus's Jarvis Jones. The 6-foot-3 215-pound linebacker was the leader of their State championship football team, delivering many hard hits to be named the top player in the state in the recent UGASports top 30 list. We caught up with this Rivals100 prospect to get the latest in recruiting around his busy basketball schedule.

Now he is on the court, and recently helped his team win their region in basketball. He let us know the difference in winning this title compared to football.

"Basketball is a little different than football," Jones said. "We knew we had to come out and play hard, and build momentum for the state playoffs."

Georgia being close to home could help the Dawgs with this highly sought after athlete.
