Lowe keeping busy with campus visits
Now that most colleges have started, or are about to start, spring practice, prospects are taking advantage of the opportunities to see a different side of the schools that they are interested in. It's an aspect that does not come across in a handwritten letter or a phone call.
One such prospect is Brownwood (Tex.) offensive lineman Stavion Lowe[db]. The junior now holds multiple offers from schools across the country and is attempting to visit as many of them as possible, especially while they are going through spring workouts. Last weekend, he and his father had a chance to travel to Norman to visit Oklahoma.
"When I got there, I went to the coach's office and met all of the coaches," said the 6-foot-6, 294 pound Lowe. "They were real nice and made me feel welcome. It was cool. I met with the academic advisors and they told me about academics at OU. I liked that they have specific tutors at different times to make sure that all of your work is done. You don't have to be on your own as far as doing your work.
