Gateway offensive lineman up to seven offers

Over recent years, Monroeville Gateway High School has played host to several Division I prospects. Most of their prospects come from the skilled positions. In 2009, the Gators have a lineman prospect that is generating interest from several BCS schools.

In addition to football, Rodkey is a member of Gateway's track team this spring, participating in all three throwing events. His shotput throw is in the 40s. Discus is at 140, and he throws javelin in the 150 to 160 range.

"I'm hoping to continue to improve on the season," Rodkey said. "All the (college) coaches tell me not to just focus on football. They say by playing different sports, you work on different muscles. Track is fun, and it makes me more versatile."

Rodkey will attend the Nike Training Camp at State College in May.
