Wort's first trip to Norman is a success

No player has risen faster up the wish list of recruiting junkies nationwide than New Braunfels, Texas star linebacker Tom Wort. In the past month the 6-foot-1, 210-pound 'backer has gone from mostly unknown to having offers from the likes of Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and most recently Southern Cal. With the video that recently showed up in the Rivals.com database it's no wonder why.

To Oklahoma's credit, they were among the first of Wort's offers and it's something he has mentioned appreciating in several interviews as of late. With all of his talk about the Sooners, Saturday in Norman was his first chance to see not only the program, but the state of Oklahoma.

According to the quickly elevating linebacker his first trip to the campus in the heart of Oklahoma went quite well.

"It went real good, the players and coaches were real cool," Wort said. "Coach Brent Venables was just a real nice, cool guy, definitely the kind of coach that I think I would respond well to. He made me feel welcomed and real comfortable."
