McDaniel apparently decides on Mountaineers

A well-placed source said that wide receiver Damon McDaniel has decided to rejoin former coach Chris Beatty at West Virginia, and will be transferring community college and Florida State credits to the WVU.

McDaniel, a 6-foot, 205-pound former FSU Seminole, is expected to be on campus and participate in the fall season pending transference of his qualifying hours and his summer school performance.

McDaniel played for Beatty, the WVU running backs-slot receivers coach, at Virginia Beach Landstown High School when Landstown was crowned the bigger school Group 3A state champion in 2005. He joined Bobby Bowden's team where he has been a 'Nole for two seasons. He was enrolled in a community college this spring.
