Young guns on defense steal show

Thursday evening's round of 7-on-7 drills was a defensive affair. Linebackers were getting in passing lanes and picking off passes. All in all it was a good evening for the defensive players. For those who have come out and seen any of the volunteer workouts you have to be impressed by the young guys whether true freshmen, redshirt freshmen or sophomores, they are looking the part.

Anthony Dye had an outstanding day at one corner. After getting a little coaching from the gallery, he took the advice and chucked Nelson Rosario at the line of scrimmage throwing him off his route. The play ended up as an incompletion.

Later on Dye did a great job on sophomore wide receiver Dominique Johnson and batted down a pass from a smooth looking Kevin Prince.

Speaking of Johnson, he had a good day. The talent is there in Johnson, he only needs to be more consistent and if he does, the Bruins will have a big time receiver in Johnson.
