Jones is a sneaky receiver

When you first look at Tailer Jones, you wouldn't think he could do too much on the football field. With the size of an average junior in high school, he plays more than average at receiver.

At 6 feet tall and 171 pounds, Jones can move, he has great hands, and he runs great routes.

Jones transferred from Roswell over the Gainesville this summer and he fits right in. The Elephants throw it around a lot and he will get many opportunities to make plays for Bruce Miller.

He has camped at Georgia three times this summer and he has participated in a couple of 7-on-7 tournaments as well. Those are the events that has put his name on the Rivals map.

The 2010 receiver is very fluid, he comes out of his breaks well, he has great body control, and catching passes come very easy to him. He is a competitor, he wants the ball, and we expect him to catch a lot of passes from Blake Sims this fall.

Interest is starting to come in from many ACC and SEC programs along with his father's alma mater Notre Dame, but it will only pick up in a few months.

NOTES: Jones now plays in an offense that likes to throw the ball around. Gainesville had two receivers that caught at least 50 balls in 2007,so look for Jones to shines early and often. We will be out to cover Gainesville's first game when they travel to Chestatee on August 29.
