Exclusive Q&A with the Elite 11 MVP
One of Georgia's commitments has been making headlines all summer and he did it again last week. Rivals100 four-star quarterback Aaron Murray was named the top QB at the Elite 11 Camp and we caught up with him for this exclusive Q&A about the camp right here.
UGASports: You were at the camp as a ball boy a year ago, so what did you take from that camp and apply to the one actually participated in this year?
Murray: "It was great going last year. I knew a lot of the drills and basically how the day would go. Guys would ask me throughout the week what was going to happen tomorrow and things like that. I had a great hold on things and I had a great feeling of what was going to happen each day."
UGASports: You were coming off an MVP Performance up in Oregon at the NIKE 7on7 Tournament just days before the Elite 11. Did that 7on7 time get you prepared for the Elite 11 or did it drain you a bit coming in?
Murray: "The tournament was great, but heading from the tournament to the Elite 11, I think it hurt me a little because my arm was tired. I had about 2-3 to rest my arm, but I wasn't 100 percent at the camp. My arm was a little sore throughout the camp, but I am going to give my arm a week or two off to recover from throwing all those balls."
UGASports: What impressed you most about your future teammate in Zach Mettenberger during the event?
