Camp Preview: Running Back

Warchant.com is getting its subscribers ready for the start of Florida State's Pre-Season Camp with updates and previews on each position. The Seminole football team will take to the practice fields for the first time this fall on August 7th in preparation for the season-opener on September 6th.

The position coach: Dexter Carter, second year
at Florida State.



Frontrunner: Antone Smith


Class: Senior.

Size: 5-9, 190 pounds.

2007 season: Started 11 games and rushed for 819 yards on 192 attempts (3.8 average) and 3 TDs. Rushing average down nearly a yard and a half from his junior season when he averaged 5.2 yards per carry.







Top Contender: Tavares Pressley


Class: Junior.

Size: 6-1, 215 pounds.

2007 season: Played in Junior College where he rushed 832 yards and 11 TDs. Averaged nearly 10 yards a carry at El Camino CC.
