Kasa has a top five

One of the Oregon Ducks top-rated targets at defensive end is Coloradoan Nick Kasa, (6'7" 250, 4.7 hand-timed 40.). Kasa, the fifth-ranked strongside defensive end in the country according to Rivals, recently began to show renewed interest in the Ducks who have made his final five. Duck Sports Authority caught up with Nick recently to see how his recruitment, particularly his recruitment by the Ducks, has been going.

"I haven't talked to anyone from Oregon in a few months," Kasa told us. "I haven't been there yet, but I might go on an official visit. They are a pretty decent program. I like the uniform options. They are cool. And I also like the association with Nike. I like the coaches they seem like good guys. I have seen them play on TV."

If the Ducks have been a little less than diligent in recruiting Kasa this summer, the same can't be said of some of Kasa's numerous other suitors. "I have 25 written scholarship offers from schools such as, Oregon, Miami, Florida, Colorado State, Notre Dame, ASU, Clemson and many others," Kasa reported. "My top five in no order are Colorado, Florida, Notre Dame, Cal, and Oregon. I wanted to commit before the season, but I wasn't ready. I don't want to commit and then change my mind."
