Lack Of Rhythm Dooms Vols

PASADENA, Calif. -- Driving deep into UCLA territory following one of Bruins quarterback Kevin Craft's four first-half completions to the Vols' defense, Jonathan Crompton and Arian Foster collided in the backfield. The result was an 4-yard loss, and, more telling, a symbolic snapshot of Tennessee's struggles offensive struggles Monday night inside the Rose Bowl.

That the Vols fell 27-24 in overtime was as much about two turnovers, wasted opportunities and the absolute lack of comfort as any of Daniel Lincoln's three missed field goals.
