Following the Future: Trojan Targets

Prep football playoff runs are being made throughout the country. While some Trojan targets continue to march through their regular seasons unscathed, others fight for an extension to their final seasons of high school football.

Players like Rolando Jefferson and Adam Hall continued to score every way possible, while players like Tyler Gaffney continued to dominate one aspect of the game.

Manti Te'o - 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker

Punahou 57, Pac-Five 7: Manti Te'o had nine tackles to lead a punishing Buffanblu defense, which held Pac-Five to minus-18 rushing yards.

Shaquelle Evans - 6-foot-1, 195-pound wide receiver

Inglewood 39, Hawthorne 0: Shaq Evans sat out the Sentinels' Ocean League victory - his punishment for drawing two excessive celebration penalties in last week's tilt with Culver City.

Corey Adams - 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive tackle

Saguaro 42, Apache Junction 0: Big man Corey Adams and the Saguaro D were stingy as usual in shutting out the Prospectors. USC appears to have the edge on Rivals' No. 9-rated tackle, while he still considers ASU, Nebraska and Ohio State.

Rolando Jefferson - 6-foot-2, 190-pound wide receiver

Fresno Edison 30, Sanger 26: Rolando Jefferson returned a punt 71 yards for a touchdown and caught four passes for 78 yards as Edison won a tight one. Jefferson also had a 16-yard score on an end around called back due to a holding penalty.
