Lewis Clarifies Commitment Status

Rumors had been going around for a few weeks that the first commitment of Oklahoma's class of 2009, Ronnell Lewis, had been talking to in-state rival Oklahoma State and considering taking an official visit to see what the Cowboys had to offer.

As it turns out the Dewar, Okla. four-star linebacker prospect took his trip to Norman for the Nebraska game but it was hardly Lewis' first trip. In spite of the talk surrounding his commitment and official visit the 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect ranked as the state's No. 3 player by Rivals.com was hardly making his first trip to Norman.

So what did he think of the rumors of his mind wavering on the commitment?

"That was people hearing it wrong, yeah I had all those schools trying to get me up there for official visits, but talking to other schools I'm not really worrying about it. I'm going to Oklahoma," Lewis said.
