ASI Insider: Are blackout games a distraction?

Florida State will hold its third "Blackout" game this Saturday night against Boston College. In addition to the Seminole players being decked out in all-back jerseys and pants, the fans will put away their garnet and gold gear for one day a year and don black as well.



"It's definitely exciting," cornerback Tony Carter said. "I was one of the first guys to put it on when we did it the first time. It's exciting and for the new guys they are excited. Even though it's my third time putting it on it's still going to be a good feeling to get a different type of uniform on."




While there's the players love the idea of getting decked out in the slick uniforms ever year, history has shown that it is possible to get too caught up in what you are wearing instead of concentrating on your opponent.
